WHAT IS IT?

FAST TRAVEL is a transit initiative operated by ON TAP with the goal of fostering connection & cooperation between the large, siloed population of game developers across ONTARIO, CANADA.

The initial goal is to make it easier for game developers to visit the larger events in Toronto by aiding with transportation and lodging - connected to and supporting the larger scale events.

Consider it a kind of 'trade mission' for developers outside of Toronto to come in and engage with the regional, provincial, national and international groups who visit every year. Other developers, publishers, platforms, service providers, etc!

WHY DOES IT EXIST?

ONTARIO is a power-house of game development with a lot of awesome people are doing a lot of awesome things.

That's great for individual achievements, but it only means so much when nobody engages with each other!

Toronto is a great hub, but it's not the be-all-end-all; so we want to make it easier for developers to visit, stay and interact with peers by leveraging the cities strength as a hub.

WHEN & WHERE?

All over ONTARIO. The goal is to ferry developers from their home turf into Toronto for at least a couple major events a year, and make it cost efficient to stay for the duration. If you're a dev in ON, we want to hear from you.

The current goal is to be ready for the 2027 conference circuit but we need your help for that! How? Sign up below, knowing who wants help lets us build a plan.

WHO ... IS...?

Paying for all this? We're looking to make things as cost and time efficient as possible for Ontario Devs. Ideally we'd like it to be free, supported by business grants and direct sponsorships.

Running the whole show? This initiative is spear-headed by ON TAP who provides services and expertise for business development in the videogame industry GLOBALLY. Though we are stationed in Ontario, Canada.
